My research focuses on the interaction and synergy between Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Emotional Intelligence, exploring how each can enhance the other and contribute to the formation of so-called 'Centaur Teams'—hybrid human-AI collaborations capable of developing innovative solutions better than either humans or AI alone. As an engineer in the Directorate of Infrastructure and Environmental Protection of the Hellenic Army, I face daily challenges related to reducing the carbon footprint of military infrastructure and integrating renewable energy sources, particularly photovoltaic systems. AI serves as a valuable tool in addressing these challenges more effectively.

I already observe my colleagues leveraging AI to prepare technical specifications for military infrastructure, and I am actively working on developing local, offline Co-pilot-style assistant systems for engineers. These systems would handle technical, legal, and bureaucratic matters. I envision a society where AI is not limited to task automation but actively promotes emotional intelligence in individuals, unleashes human creativity by contributing to the development of new therapies and products, and allows people to focus on more meaningful aspects of their work and the full realization of their potential.
