My research activity focuses on how judgemental forecasting and Artificial Intelligence (AI) can support better strategic planning in volatile environments. A significant part of my work involves "prediction-led prescription," that is, leveraging forecasts to optimize decision-making, as presented in our recent publication in the Journal of Business Research on enhancing business performance through AI.

Artificial Intelligence presents a challenge that our generation must transform into an opportunity for productivity. While technology has traditionally been a disruptive force for many professions, it also remains a powerful tool for development—one we must understand and harness. Similarly, in a transformed labor market, AI will once again empower those who possess knowledge to take the lead.

Therefore, the pursuit and advancement of knowledge remain at the heart of research institutions such as universities. On a societal level, AI may exacerbate social inequalities between skilled and unskilled individuals, which is why a proper institutional framework is essential—one that can only be shaped effectively through the strengthening of knowledge.

AI will offer opportunities across key sectors such as education, healthcare, production chains, and entrepreneurship. It is up to us, guided by knowledge and a human-centered approach, to give it the right dimension—one that brings about the desired improvement without distorting the social fabric.
